Lauhala are long, dried leaves from the pūhala tree. They are stripped and woven to make useful products as well as wearable art. Workshops is lauhala weaving are lead by Stacie Segovia of Ke ‘Alohi O Ka Pūhala. She guides us through the process of weaving with patience and love our own handcrafted pieces like earrings, fans, boxes, bracelets, ornaments and bookmarks.
