Ulukoa Duhaylonsod of Honokai Hale, Honouliuli is an archaeologist, ethnographer, kumu hula and advocate for indigenous and social justice. In this workshop, Ulukoa discussed the leadership of O‘ahu chiefs Ma‘ilikukahi and Kakuhihewa. He also shared a recent mele written for Ma‘ilikukahi that he and his men performed at the Kapu‘uola Hula Festival in 2018.
